Fortnite is celebrating its fifth birthday with new quests, rewards, and the fortography event

Fortnite fans were already celebrating following the launch of Chapter 3: Season 4: Paradise which added a new battle pass and many more features. Despite all that, Epic Games is giving fans an even bigger reason to celebrate. Fortnite, the battle royale which took the gaming world by storm, thanks to its unique building mechanics and gameplay is turning five and there’s a whole party planned .

Fortnite’s 5th birthday celebrations begin tomorrow, September 23rd at 9:00 am ET, where players can participate in in-game quests and out-game trivia events on social media as well. Like every year, the Island will be completely decorated with a party theme and an awesome Fortography showcase.

Players can take a trip to the Island in style with the birthday-themed Battle Bus. On the Island itself, numerous gifts will be scattered around all POIs which will contain high-grade loot and a Birthday Cake that can restore health. With the event even balloons return, allowing players to float around the map to get to their destination faster.

Additionally, the fifth birthday quests will be available until September 27th. On the Quests page, they can be found from tomorrow and will reward players with cosmetics like the Fuzzfetti Cake Back Bling, Celebratory Slice Pickaxe, and Sparklecake Emoticon on completion.

Fortnite’s birthday fortography event is a fantastic way to get featured on the game’s official blog. This time’s theme is simple – it could be players celebrating their birthday or a friend’s or just their favourite Fortnite memory from the last five years.

It could be a snapshot from the past or even one that is taken during this event. And for those that have a creative flair, Epic Games is also encouraging players to build special birthday-themed islands on Creative and share them on social media. Winners will be part of a blog post on October 7th.
