Firemint's line drawing game Flight Control was one of the early best sellers on the App Store.

It racked up 700,0000 sales in the four weeks following its March 2010 release, and it was the first (or second depending on who you believe) to make it to one million sales.

It was also the second game to make it to two million sales, the first being Pocket God.

Soaring high

When it comes to three million sales however, Bolt Creative's torture simulator, Doodle Jump, Bejeweled 2 and the App Store's current best seller Angry Birds beat it to the mark.

Still Flight Control is clearly selling steadily, with the standard 99c version for iPhone and iPod touch, joined by a $4.99 HD version for iPad, plus DSi, WiiWare, Java, Android, Brew, PSN and PlayStation 3 Move versions either released or planned.

Firemint also just announced that its online Cloudcell service had recorded data for 2,482,735,870 aircraft landed in 57,235,375 game sessions for Flight Control.
