Most fans of the hugely popular title Flick Kick Football have been chanting from the terraces for a multiplayer mode to be signed up -and now their prayers have been answered.

Earlier today Mario Wynands, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Sidhe Interactive (the company which owns Flick Kick Football’s developer Pikpok games) confirmed that they had submitted an update for a online multi-player mode to be added to the game.

He was fairly sketchy on how exactly the multiplayer mode works though, stating on the NeoGAF forum that the update was “just the first implementation of one of two online multiplayer modes we ultimately hope to have. So it’s pretty basic, but still fun to play even in this state.” The update is also expected to be approved by Apple and available before Christmas according to Wynands.

There is no news on whether this update is coming to the Android version of the game, although we'll let you know when we have any further details.

You can buy Flick Kick Football in anticipation for the update on both the iPad and iPhone. The universal app is priced at 59p / $0.99 / €0.79.
