It's been a while since a new Flick Kick game has been toe punted our way. This latest entry in the series returns to the most intense moments of American Football.

Yes, it's a follow-up to 2010's Bronze Award-winning Flick Kick Field Goal. Oddly, this sequel is called Flick Kick Field Goal 2014, which usually suggests an annual release. Could it be?

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, though, there's a gridiron pitch and a distant goal to set our eyes on.

As with the original, your goal is to to flick the ball in a tactile manner to send it flying between the two poles at the far end of the pitch. Super-boosts will give you an edge when needed.

Official licensing for College and City teams means you can play for your favourites. However, playing for yourself and competing with your friends in the leaderboards may be a bigger draw.

If you're dedicated enough to play the game every day, then you can take part in head-to-head matches called Daily Disputes. You'll also be rewarded for your team loyalty and recruiting mates to your team, too.

If you're up for the challenge, Flick Kick Field Goal 2014 is free to download on the App Store and Google Play.
