CSR Classics soft-launches in New Zealand, lets you restore muscle cars to their former glory

If you're into cars, you likely know the thrill of finding an unloved shell of a great beast sleeping in someone's backyard.
Sure, it's heartbreaking to see weeds growing through the grill - but the potential of what that car can do fills your body with an adrenaline rush like no other.
That's the exact feeling that NaturalMotion's looking to bring to you with CSR Classics, an update to the white-hot CSR Racing which preserves much of the gameplay and gorgeous graphics of the original while introducing a few new elements.
And by 'new elements' we really mean four-wheeled icons from the likes of Audi, BMW, Shelby, Mercedes, and other manufacturers.
In CSR Classics you'll be able to race everything from a stately Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing to an unapologetically macho Shelby Cobra that offers no excuses for its Godzilla-sized carbon footprint.
What's more, you'll be able to upgrade these cars and others with customary tweaks to the engine, tiers, rims, gear box, and nitrous systems. If you're in for a real in-depth experience, you can also try out the new "Restore" mode that lets you rebuild an unloved junker into raceworthy, lightweight roadster.
We don't know when CSR Classics will make it main markets in the west, but it's currently available on the New Zealand and Emirati App Stores in case you happen to live in those locations.
