Bullet League launches globally, offers top-tier 2D battle royale action for iOS and Android

Bullet League is one of the few battle royale games I can actually deal with. It's super stylish, fast-paced, and easy to learn – three things that drew me in straight away when it was still in early access. Now, the fine folks at Funday Factory have launched it globally for all to play and hopefully enjoy.

At this point, I'm too scared to go back to Fortnite or PUBG Mobile for fear of being bullied by highly-skilled children, and both games have a tendency to deliver frustration rather than fun, especially if you're me and you suck at them.

Bullet League's 2D perspective somehow makes the chaos of building, blasting, and platforming a whole lot more manageable for someone whose veins don't course with Gamer Fuel.

It helps that the whole thing feels very much at home on mobile, boasting intuitive touch controls and shorter matches for on-the-go play.

There's a healthy assortment of weapons to collect and utilise on your unsuspecting foes, and it wouldn't be a battle royale game without lots of lovely cosmetics to collect.

The platforming, shooting, and basic building mechanics come together to offer tons of opportunity for emergent combat solutions. When everything clicks, Bullet League soars.

There's a level of polish here that we don't often see in battle royale games that aren't the usual suspects. It looks great, feels good to play, and is generally a more accessible – though no less enjoyable – take on the genre.

I'm looking forward to jumping back in with the latest version, which finally adds squad-based modes. If you fancy giving it a go yourself, you'll find Bullet League available for download now as a free-to-play title from both the App Store and Google Play.
