EA Mobile has extended its licensing agreement with PopCap Games for Bejeweled and Bejeweled 2 until 2010.

Both titles have been big sellers for EA Mobile in recent years, forming a key plank in its casual mobile portfolio, alongside Tetris.

The deal announcement doesn't mention any new versions of the games - PopCap already publishes them for iPhone itself.

However, presumably the deal would allow EA Mobile to introduce a multiplayer version of Bejeweled 2 in Europe, following its launch last year in North America.

PopCap has ramped up its self-publishing efforts in mobile in recent times, releasing Chuzzle and Bookworm. However, extending the Bejeweled deal shows it's still keen to maintain existing licensing relationships too.
