NetEase has announced a new major expansion will be coming to its mobile survival game, LifeAfter, later this year. The update will be available for iOS and Android devices.

This new expansion to the game will introduce the birth of a new race, where the main struggle of existing in a post-apocalyptic world isn’t just about staying alive, but also about understanding what goes on between life and death, and what happens when the lines between human and monster is blurred. Above all else, it will give survivors a new way of survival.

The announcement of this new expansion to LifeAfter came during the NetEase Connect 2021 conference today, an event that revealed new information about new and upcoming NetEase games and updates on mobile.

If you’re unaware of what LifeAfter is, it’s an open-world post-apocalyptic multiplayer survival mobile game. In it, you must fight to survive through a variety of different game mechanics including shooting, crafting, and building. The game is available on both mobile phones and on PC.

Since its release over two years ago, LifeAfter has collaborated with the likes of Attack on Titan, Ghost in the Shell, and the Resident Evil series. These partnerships were received well by players, and so NetEase has also revealed a new crossover with Godzilla vs. Kong that is starting in the game today, which brings the two mighty titans to the post-apocalyptic world.

Over 200 million players around the world have played LifeAfter, and you can download and start playing it now on the iOS App Store and the Google Play for Android store, where it is a free to play game with in-app purchases.
