Retro video games publisher Incube8 Games is releasing Genesis, a brand new shoot ‘em up developed by 7FH for the Nintendo Game Boy system. Pre-orders are now live from today and will be active until 7th June.

In Genesis, you fight through large hordes of enemies through many action-packed levels, with the goal of defeating a final boss lurking at the end of each stage as you get closer to the core of Genesis. You will test your agility here to dodge enemy fire, collect shield energy and use power-ups collected from enemies.

Genesis was developed using GBDK, a popular tool for creating games for the Game Boy system and has been used by many developers. 7FH is known for his talent using the GBDK dev kit, and has previously released Black Castle for Game Boy too.

Meanwhile, Incube8 Games is known for publishing retro video game cartridges, focusing mainly on 8-bit handheld consoles. The publisher has also revived Infinity for the Game Boy Color, which was a game developed for the system back in the late '90s but was cancelled due to publisher difficulties.

You can pre-order the standard edition of Genesis now from Incube8’s official website, where it costs $44.99 / £32.35 / €37.20. It is fully compatible with all Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance handheld consoles. As an added bonus, all orders will ship with a set of promo stickers if you purchase it within the pre-order window.
