Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night's first DLC, Iga's Back Pack, is available now alongside three new modes

Following its release at the beginning of last December, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has received its first piece of post-launch DLC. It's called Iga's Back Pack and alongside its arrival, three new modes have also been added to provide more content for players to hack 'n' slash their way through, or simply enjoy some music, in one case.

In Iga's Back Pack, players will fight against the legendary boss of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Koji Igarashi. Given his boss status in the DLC, successfully besting him in battle will net players a variety of rewards. These will include the Sword Whip and a powerful shard called Insatiable. The DLC is available now for $0.99.

Aside from the DLC, there are also 3 new modes that are available to play for free. The first is Boss Rush mode, which will see players having to tackle several of the game's bosses in a set order. If they manage to defeat this onslaught of powerful enemies they will walk away with many rewards that can include 16-bit Coins.

Next up is a dedicated Speed Run mode where players will, unsurprisingly, attempt to clear the different quests as quickly as possible. The final addition is Sound Mode, which simply allows players to listen to the game's various soundtracks alongside the different vocal lines from the characters.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night impressed players so much when it released last year that our readers nominated it for Best Mobile Conversion in our 2021 Pocket Gamer Awards. You can head over to the voting page to right now to vote for your favourite games from 2020

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a premium title that costs $9.99 with an additional in-app purchase for that latest DLC that costs $0.99.
