Vaccines are slowly paving the way out of this ‘coronavirus crisis’, but there’s a while to go yet. That means employees across the world – whether working in offices or from home – continue to face all sorts of unpredictable challenges and pressures.

That’s true even of big-name games publishers such as IGG, for whom popular mobile titles such as Lords Mobile have brought huge success. In the current climate, each employee underpinning that success has his or her own trials and tribulations to contend with. Sticking to ever-changing guidelines and keeping morale high takes an admirable degree of effort. As such, IGG has announced it will reward its staff an incentive bonus of US$800, in recognition of their hard work and collaborative spirit.

The announcement follows a number of philanthropic efforts from the company, aimed at helping to combat the pandemic. These included a donation of medical supplies, including much-needed medical-grade face masks, to Italy, Spain, Brazil, China, Japan, South Korea and the USA – back in the first few months of the crisis. IGG’s staff were instrumental in orchestrating and delivering this charitable act.

In announcing the new incentive, a spokesperson for IGG explained: “Corporations have a responsibility to society and should do more to help a world ravaged by the pandemic. When it comes to corporate social responsibility, IGG will continue to lead by example and hopes that this will motivate other corporations to do the same.”
