Skylanders: Ring of Heroes' latest update introduces two new characters to the turn-based RPG

Following a string of updates since the revamp last year, Com2uS has announced that two new characters have been added to Skylanders: Ring of Heroes today. To coincide with their addition to the turn-based RPG, there is also a special event that offers a few in-game rewards.

The two new characters are said to be particularly distinct from one another and come with Legendary and Heroic grades, with both boasting excellent attack and defence abilities. The first is Smash, a mole-like Earth character who wields a giant iron mace that attacks enemies in a wide range. It also has a powerful leader skill that will help with survivability in battle.

The second of the two new characters is called Scratch, who looks like a cat. It has sharp attack skills that will target enemy weak points. Scratch is an Air Element character who can move very quickly and has various evasion skills at their disposal that nullify enemy attacks.

To celebrate the arrival of these two characters, Skylanders: Ring of Heroes will be hosting an event that will offer players some rewards. This will include a series of daily missions from today until February 1st that will net players a mixture of Gems, Gold, and various items that are used to upgrade the game's numerous characters.

The rewards themselves will be based on the results players achieve when completing their daily mission. Players will also get a large amount of Legendary Skill Power-up Stones that will be dependant on the user's accumulated participation account. These items are widely valued among players for being the best item in the game.

Skylanders: Ring of Heroes is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
