Head into battle with elemental powers

PUBG Mobile's Royale Pass Season 17, Runic Power, is now live in the popular multiplayer shooter

Following the announcement last week, PUBG Mobile's Royale Pass 17 has now arrived, bringing a touch of mysticism and magic to the usually grounded in reality battle royale shooter. The theme is called Runic Power and will see players gathering various rewards by tackling a plethora of in-game challenges.

It arrives alongside the 1.2 update which introduces a new game variant to the Erangel map. This will see players spawning with one of three sets of power runes. They are Flame, Arctic and Wind, with each bringing their own abilities and additional effects on weapons that are based on their respective element.

The Royale Pass Season 17 introduces 100 ranks of tiered rewards for players to work their way through. They can be claimed by completing a mixture of activity missions and weekly challenges. At Rank 50, they'll be able to spin the Wheel of Fate to select between the Resplendent Dawn and Deadly Sickle.

Then, at Rank 100 they can earn the majestic Guardian Armor Set, Uzi and M16A4. Mission Activity Packs can also be completed and then converted into UC currency which can be exchanged at the in-game shop for various loot.

There are also a few changes to the PUBG Mobile and Metro Exodus collaboration with the arrival of Metro Badges. This will see players gathering exclusive supplies to unlock additional bits of story and earning one of two sets. These sets include exclusives vehicles and other rewards. Finally, players will be able to choose between UC and AG currency at any time.

PUBG Mobile is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
