Line Games is releasing a multiplayer action game called Smash Legends for iOS and Android devices later this year, as well as on PC as an early access title.

Smash Legends will soft-launch on mobile, meaning its availability will be rolled out over time as a beta before receiving a proper full release later on, and will feature cross-play support between iOS, Android and PC.

In it, you engage in action packed 3-minute battles where you knock your opponents out of an arena ring. Characterised by its intuitive controls that translate well between PC and mobile, even players not familiar with the arena battle genre will be able to adjust to it.

You will be able to choose between several different game modes to select from, including a one-on-one duel, 3 vs 3 capture point and an eight player battle royale, so there’s a bit of variety you will have the option of playing in should you lean towards a preferred way of playing.

Smash Legends had a Community Group Test way back in May 2020 and it looks like the upcoming soft-launch will iterate on the feedback from that with improved gameplay and modes.

We don’t have further details on what the soft launch will entail; whether it will be a free to play title, what countries it will be available in or if it will be a closed test or open for all. As always, we’ll be sure to update you as soon as more information heads our way.

Smash Legends soft-launches in Q1 2021 for the iOS App Store, Google Play for Android, and Steam Early Access with cross-play support.
