Announcing Pocket Gamer Awards 2021: Your time to pick the best games of last year
|

Five years have passed since the last Pocket Gamer Awards, but after a year like 2020 we definitely think that it's time to bring it back. Hence, we have here, the Pocket Gamer Awards 2021, celebrating the best games across all of the mobile gaming frontier during that long, long - oh goodness, it was such a long time - long year.

Back in 2016 we were celebrating our 10th anniversary as a site and ran our competition with ten categories, three of which were looking back over the last decade. This time we're not looking quite so far back but we've expanded our scope for entries. We've got 27 potential categories which cover everything from your preferred phone through to your favourite RPG.

The Pocket Gamer Awards 2021 will be a celebration of the best in mobile games as well as the games and developers which have kept us going over the last twelve (thirteen-ish) months.

It's organised by us but voted on by you and follows a simple, three-step process.

Pocket Gamer Awards 2021: As easy as one, two, three.

Step One: Nominations.

We've revealed the categories and now invite the world (that's you, your pals, and more) to fill out your favourite games or devices into our survey. This stage lasts through all of January and lets us build our longlist of games. We know that genres and game types can be a bit tough at times, so you don't need to fill out that bit - we'll sort through them tirelessly.

We're at that stage, head over to the Nominations page now to get your voice heard. Step Two: Voting.

Once you've all fed in your nominations we'll sort and filter the list, then put it in front of our group of experts who will pull together the final shortlist. That shortlist will be available in our Pocket Gamer Awards 2021 Hub in February. You'll then have all of February to vote on the games of your choice

Step Three: Winners!

In late March 2021 we'll reveal which games received the most votes from the public and crown them the winners of their appropriate categories. It's going to be great,

In addition to this, we'll also be inducting a game into our Hall of Fame, this is an honour which will be decided upon internally by the editorial team. So there's going to be a whole bunch going on.

So, without further delay, head over to the Pocket Gamer Awards 2021 nomination page and let us know about the mobile games that have defined your 2020.
