Fire Your Weapon Often
One of the fun aspects of Ninja Chowdown is the attacking abilities. With the game being an endless runner, mixing the pace of the game with the attacks adds to the fun. You start out with some stars that you can fire at enemies during your donut runs.
Enemy ninjas will pop up at random as you go so make sure to spam that attack button. It can seem kind of tricky at first because you're jumping and firing at the same time most of the time. But it won't take long before you get used to being simultaneous.
The game's controls are easy enough and comfortable enough to where you can balance things a bit. It helps that you're running autonomously so you don't have to worry about that aspect. So attack away, you sweet tooth ninja you.
Snag Those Donuts
You get dropped into the world of Ninja Chowdown so fast, that you might not realize the importance of certain things such as donuts. You'll see the beloved treats floating about during your runs. It's not totally clear at first as the purpose of grabbing the donuts, except for the fact that our hero loves them.
But, you'll notice that the more you grab and eat, the more weight you gain. Initially, this might concern you as you think it'll slow your speed down. But or ninja friend is too skilled to lose his swiftness, despite being as goofy and clumsy as he can be.
But, but grabbing enough donuts, you'll turn into a giant ball, where you'll hilariously roll and pick up speed, destroying anything that gets in your way. It's a unique super ability to have that can make completing levels a breeze at the right times. So in short, eat up and roll away.
Practice Your Aim
Going back to throwing stars, a thing that helps make the combat both fun and maybe even a bit challenging is when you need to aim. It's important to keep firing away with the stars, but it's good to keep an eye out for the skies as well.
On occasion, you might see foes in the sky. You will have the ability to direct your shots in different directions, including upwards. It takes a tad bit of precision, but it won't be too hard. Really, the hardest thing about playing Ninja Chowdown is that you have one life per level.
Thankfully, it doesn't take too long to get through each of them, especially considering how fast-paced things are. But working on your aim can really make you a master of the art of donut eating...I mean, of being a true ninja.
