Arkfront is an upcoming arcade shooter from developer Intensity Faucet Games. It's available to pre-order now for iOS ahead of its launch on January 15th. It will see players taking part in space battles as they search the galaxy for a new home for humanity.

It will be a premium title that will have over 80 levels to blast through with over 15 different types of enemy to encounter throughout your adventure. There will also be a variety of game modes to select from if a shorter game session is what you're looking for.

It will follow a rogue-lite setup, drawing inspiration from FTL. Before each run, you'll build and customise equipment load-outs and then head out into space. That means you'll need to decide what you'll spend your resources on upfront and during the journey itself.

Then it'll be time to dive straight into the action, which plays out like a classic top-down arcade shooter, as you can see in the embedded tweet included within this article. The developer has promised the controls will be both fast, fluid and were designed with touch screen in mind.

At the end of each level, you'll see the galactic map, which is very similar to the progression you'd find in the likes of Slay the Spire. You'll select which node you'll want to travel to and may find various events, random encounters and outposts along the way.

Arkfront is available for pre-order now over on the App Store ahead of its release on 15th January. It will be a premium title that costs $2.99.
