Pokemon Masters EX's latest update sees the Johto Challenge added to the Champion Stadium

Pokemon Masters EX has added a new region to the Champion Stadium for the first time since it arrived in the game earlier this year. It will see players taking on the Johto Challenge. In addition to that, there is also a brand new mode too in Champion Stadium too.

As you'd expect, the Johto Challenge will see you facing off against the Elite Four and Champion of that region. That means testing your skills against Will, Bruno, Koga and Karen before battling Lance. This challenge is set to stick around until February 1st.

Beyond that, players will now find the Master Mode feature. This can be unlocked by entering all 18 types of sync pairs into the Hall of Fame and completing the medal for that region. Once unlocked, Master Mode allows players to give their opponent various advantages by selecting different options.

If players manage to overcome these advantages and emerge victorious they will earn points. They will then earn different rewards whenever the number of points they've gathered exceeds a set amount. The prizes up for grabs include Power-Up Tickets, Strike Move Candy Coin and Champion Spirit.

Elsewhere, Iris & Haxorus can now be raised to 6-Star EX whilst the level cap has also been increased to 130. However, this cap hasn't been unlocked for every Sync Pair just yet and will become available for them at a later date.

Areas that will allow players to unlock the new level cap have been added to the Cap-Unlock Area of the Training Area. To celebrate its addition, the number of rewards on offer for beating these areas will temporarily be increased by 1.5 times until January 4th.

Pokemon Masters EX is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
