Summoners War livestream draws in 150,000+ viewers, announces a new item class, bosses, and dungeons

Saturday's Summoners War livestream drew in a whopping 150,000+ viewers. Everyone was there to hear the first details of a massive update that's set to introduce fresh bosses, dungeons, and a seemingly game-changing new item class.

The latest dungeons include the Dimension Monthly Dungeon, Steel Fortress, and Punisher's Crypt. The first of those three is said to offer one of the game's biggest challenges to date. Once per month, you'll have the chance to face off against its many enemies and powerful Dimension Predator boss. Completing the dungeon will net you a 6-star Legendary Ancient Rune, meaning you'll be handsomely rewarded for your efforts.

The other two dungeons are to be added to the Cairos Dungeon. They'll have a much more artificial look and feel, with both being 10 floors deep, providing four waves of enemies per fight. Both dungeons will also house their own unique bosses. When defeated, they'll drop an all-new item known as an Artefacts.

These give you the ability to augment your monsters with certain stats and traits. The goal is to shake up your favourite builds and add some further depth to the experience. Artefacts are quite similar to Runes in the sense that they can boost your damage, defence, and more. They come with five distinct attributes: Fire, Water, Wind, Light, and Dark. They also come in four types: Attack, Defence, HP, and Support.

Interestingly, the update will also refine some of the existing dungeons, adding some extra incentive to delve back into the Giant's Keep, Dragon's Lair, and Necropolis. Each will be expanded to 12 floors and offer a boosted item drop rate in floors 11 and 12. Not bad.
