Spingram is an upcoming puzzler from Italian indie developer Sandro Traettino. The game aims to reinvent the classic Rubik's cube in a unique way that works well on mobile. It will be heading for both iOS and Android on May 10th.

The premise of the game is incredibly simple, all you have to do is swipe to rotate the different sides of the cube until it matches the reference pattern that sits in the top half of the screen. But much like a Rubik's cube, even though the mechanics are very simple it can be deceptively tricky.

As you can see in the trailer above, the cube can be rotated in a way you'll be familiar with if you've played with a Rubik's cube before. The example puzzles all look very straightforward, however, the game has over 800 levels so you can expect them to get more challenging as you progress. There will also be a skip system for those levels you just can't quite wrap your head around.

Beyond that, there are a few personalisation options available to tailor the experience to your own preference in the cosmetics department. Spingram will have both light and dark modes alongside a variety of colour themes if you find the initial minimalist black and white a tad boring.

Even though the global release is May 10th, the game has also soft-launched in select countries, so if you live in of them you should be able to download the game today. The countries where Spingram is currently available include the following:

  • Italy
  • Belgium
  • Belarus
  • Philippines
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam
  • Indonesia
  • Brazil
  • Bolivia
  • Uruguay
  • Paraguay

Spingram will be available on the App Store and Google Play on May 10th. It will be a free-to-play title.
