The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross adds hero Escanor, story chapter 8, and Final Boss Battle mode

The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, Netmarble's hit RPG, has today received a major update that introduces the Holy Knight Escanor as an all-new collectable character. That's not all, though, as you can also expect a fresh event and mode to appear next time you log in.

Escanor, if you didn't know, is one of the most popular characters in The Seven Deadly Sins series. His digital form boasts incredible attack power and a handful of devastating skills for players to utilise in the heat of battle.

But where would Escanor be without his trusty Sacred Axe, Rhitta? Thankfully, we'll never have to find out, as it's now available to collect as part of an in-game event. It's named after the weapon itself, so you shouldn't have a hard time finding it. Beating the event, however, is another matter entirely.

The Final Boss Battle has also now unlocked. This tricky mode mixes up the game's core combat, serving up a fresh challenge, while offering neat rewards such as the King's original costume. Other special items will be available depending on your ranking.

If you've worked your way through the entirety of the game's story campaign, know that the eighth chapter has now arrived. And those looking to slay monsters in style will be pleased to hear that new costumes are available in the in-game store, including a set for Escanor.
