Undersea Solitaire Tripeaks is an intriguing genre hybrid from the minds behind Raid: Shadow Legends

Where do the most interesting, often perplexing genre hybrids originate? That's right: the world of mobile gaming! In fact, I challenge you to dream up a hybrid that hasn't already been done on mobile. It's impossible. You can't do it. Don't even try.

How about story-focused solitaire adventuring with a side order of town-building? Nope, that already exists, and it's called Undersea Solitaire Tripeaks.

This one hails from Plarium, perhaps best known for Raid: Shadow Legends, which itself is best known for being advertised by literally every YouTuber and influencer on the planet. This one is targeting a slightly more casual type of player, offering a colourful art style and lots of friendly characters.

The story revolves around the undersea town of Rocky Bottom. A vicious whirlpool has torn through the place and left it in an awful state. Naturally, this is something that can only be put right through mastering the game of solitaire. As I say, there's a focus on weaving a fun narrative here, meaning you can expect lots of little events to transpire as you go.

Missions see you doing all manner of interesting things, including attempting to uncover long-lost artefacts, hosting fashion shows, solving crimes, and much more. Building up your town will eventually increase its number of residents, allowing you to get to know some all-new characters. Before you know it, your bustling town will boast a circus, theme park, amphitheatre, and more.

At launch, you'll find over 2000 levels to play through and 30+ characters to befriend. With it being a free-to-play title, you can expect the usual mix of daily missions and weekly events.

If all that sounds like a grand time to you, you'll find Undersea Solitaire Tripeaks available for download now from over on the App Store and Google Play.
