Minecraft Earth's latest update includes some new lockdown-friendly features to allow you to enjoy the game despite the ongoing spread of COVID-19. The fresh features allow you to play more safely from the comfort of your home.

Minecraft Earth is essentially like Pokemon Go! in that you'll be able to play Minecraft in the real world. You can build and craft in virtually any part of the world.

Just make sure to watch out for Creepers and the like. Yes, those are still around, so you can't always build in peace.

But one of the catches about playing Minecraft Earth is that you were only able to play it outside to get the best results. With the new update, that has all changed, and you can now be more versatile with where you play the game.

It's now more rewarding than ever to play the game at home, so you can still get those creative juices flowing while self-isolating.

In addition to the lockdown feature, there's also a new mob to diversify your playing experience. The Iron Furnace Golem is here to wreak havoc on your world (sounds like a Dark Souls boss).

So you have a bunch of other mobs to worry about, and now you have these lovely golems to deal with. Phew, you're going to be quite busy with the new features.

Oh, and there will also be some tropical slime to get in your way. Well, at least it's tropical, so maybe it'll have you thinking about a trip to Hawaii or something.

Minecraft Earth is available for free on Google Play and the App Store.
