The King of Fighters ALLSTAR's 'False Halloween' event and latest update are now live

The King of Fighters ALLSTAR has just received a brand-new update that adds what they're calling the 'False Halloween' in-game event.

Starting today, you'll be able to collect an all-new set of fighters. These include Halloween Night Heidern, Halloween Night Li Xiangfei, and Halloween Night Blue Mary. Despite the fact that it's only mid-March, they're all themed around Halloween, hence the event's name.

The new fighters are available from today until April 6th, giving you almost three weeks to unlock as many of them as possible. Igniz from The King of Fighters 2001 and Alice from The King of Fighters XIV can also be purchased via Summon Banners and the in-game store.

There will also be three event-exclusive activities for you to take part in, offering you the chance to earn some precious rubies, souls, Halloween-themed fighters. The activities include the Halloween Cake Guard Dungeon, False Halloween Super Mission, and False Halloween Attendance.

From March 24th to April 6th, you'll have the option to enter Pumpkin Head's dungeon in search of rare loot. But beware! The big man himself may be there to greet you once you've reached the dungeon's end.

The '96 Leona Roulette event is set to run from March 17th to April 6th. This gives you the chance to earn Leona from The King of Fighters 96 on top of some other neat items through some in-game roulette.

Then there's the 2001 May Lee roulette event. This will run from March 31st to April 6th and is much the same as the Leona event, with the only difference being that you can earn May Lee instead.

If you're a fan of the series and haven't yet taken The King of Fighters ALLSTAR for a spin, you'll find it available as a free-to-play title from both the App Store and Google Play. It's worth a go if you hold any nostalgia for the classics or want to see their many characters back in action.
