Dungeon Faster's latest update introduces the Arena which will see players compete for leaderboard topping glory

Dungeon Faster, the impressive roguelike Card game from Pavel Sirucek/Old Oak Den, has been updated to introduce a new game mode called the Arena. The update is now live for both the iOS and Android versions of the game.

The Arena will appear as a portal within the main menu of the game where a quick tap will take you to this new game mode. Here you'll be competing against other players around the world to get the highest score possible within each 24 hour period. If you enjoy leaderboard chasing then, this could be the mode for you.

There are a few caveats that come with it, however, to keep things interesting as well as fair. Each player will have to make use of the same hero and deck of cards. They'll also be battling their way through the same dungeons, so it'll be a test of how efficiently you can use the setup that's handed to you.

There will be new dungeons to tackle on a daily basis within the Arena which will offer plenty of chances for rewards for those that excel at these kinds of games. You see, if you manage to rank within the top ten once 24 hours have passed then not only will your in-game name be respected in the Dungeon Faster community, you'll also receive a bunch of rewards too.

If you're unfamiliar with Dungeon Faster it's a roguelike card game that we're quite fond of here on Pocket Gamer. Dave Aubrey gave his reasons for why it was a worthy candidate for Game of the Year back in December whilst you folks nominated it for that coveted prize in the first place.

Dungeon Faster is available now over on both the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
