I suppose it was only a matter of time before the world of Garena Free Fire was plunged into mayhem by the arrival of the apocalypse, in this case brought about by the upcoming Wasteland Survivors event. But before the end of the world comes a new map to explore, Kalahari, which is now confirmed to be a permanent fixture accessible to all players.
Your long-term survival will depend on your shooting and looting skills, as well as your ability to adapt to the harsh environment and many desperate combatants out in the wild. The Kalahari map boasts a rundown, brutal aesthetic, and it'll be available from February 28th.
On top of that, the whole game will soon, though no date has yet been confirmed, be draped in a post-apocalyptic theme. Thankfully, you'll have a fresh skin to tackle the imminent apocalypse in style. It's called Borderlands, and you can get a first look at it in the pic below.
As bleak as things might first appear, we all know that life in the post-apocalypse always throws up plenty of neat loot and rewards to collect.
