Forza Street coming to Android, exclusive to Samsung devices for launch
Forza Street will soon be hitting the roads of your mobile phones, and Xbox has announced that you can pre-register for the game. Interestingly, the game will initially only be available to owners of Samsung phones.
It will eventually be in the App Store for iPhone users but will be starting out on Android first. The reason for Samsung's exclusivity is because Xbox has partnered up with the mobile giant to make this happen.
Forza Street itself will feature several cars to choose from, including legendary muscle rides and modern sports cars among others. You can collect cars as you play which will allow you to not only drive them but also display them in your garage.
Car collecting looks like it will be the biggest feature in the game. It could also make the experience quite addictive, as you embrace the glories of your shiny new toys.First come first swerve. You can even snatch up some super retro cars to add to your stash of whips. Like cracking open packs of trading cards, this should be a pretty fun aspect of Forza Street.
There will also be some interesting controls that plan to be streamlined. Everything you do on the road will rely on your timing to pull the trigger.
These styles of controls will make room for the cinematic aesthetic of each race, adding to the drama. It sounds like the controls could be limited as well, hence the reason why timing is so critical.
There's no word however on if certain cars give you an advantage or if they're just for looks. It's a good possibility that it's the former but there could be a special approach to the mobile version of Forza.
One of the more important features that will be included is the lengths of the races you can participate in. You can take in the depth of the campaign, or you can just play in one-minute races so this caters to many different types of mobile racers.
As mentioned, you can pre-register for the game. It will be available on Google Play and the Samsung Galaxy Store and later for the App Store.
