Hearthstone's Descent of Dragons expansion is now live for iOS and Android.
Galakrond is the big new addition here. Those aligned with E.V.I.L. can resurrect this slumbering giant, who will then manifest into one of five different versions depending on whether you're a Rogue, Warrior, Warlock, Shaman, or Priest. Thankfully, you'll receive all five versions in your first Descent of Dragons pack.
Galakrond's immense strength can be boosted whenever his followers "Invoke" him. All you have to do is play a card with the Invoke keyword in order to trigger the buff.
The newly introduced sidequests are a lot like standard quests, with the only big difference being that they have shorter, easier-to-complete objectives. You can also complete multiple sidequests in the one game, which is super handy.
Everyone who logs into Hearthstone during Descent of Dragons will earn themselves five Galakrond cards and two Shield of Galakrond cards. On top of that, the game's latest legendary questline is now playable. Taking part could earn you Descent of Dragon, Rise of Shadows, and Saviours of Uldum packs, as well as 200 gold.
Looking to the future, fans can soon expect to see the final battle in the Year of the Dragon's solo adventure. It's called Galakrond's Awakening, it'll add 35 new cards, and it's set to arrive in January.
A new arena rotation has been added, meaning it now includes cards from the following sets:
- Blackrock Mountain
- The Grand Tournament
- One Night in Karazhan
- Knights of the Frozen Throne
- Rastakhan's Rumble
- Descent of Dragons
Those who are yet to give Hearthstone a go will find it available for download now from both the App Store and Google Play.
