The delightful Old School Musical: Pocket Edition launches today for iOS and Android

The delightfully daft Old School Musical: Pocket Edition has finally made its way over to iOS and Android after launching first on Switch and Steam. It brings the original game's sense of humour to mobile while stripping away the story missions to focus on its Chicken Republic challenge mode.

If you missed it back in 2018, Old School Musical is a rhythm action game where you have to time your attacks to the beat. It's a cute homage to the 8 and 16-bit era that seems to have been fairly well-received at the time of launch.

There are currently over 55 levels to work your way through, with each featuring its own unique chiptune track. The Pocket Edition is a free-to-play title that the team will continue to expand upon each week with new level packs. They're all said to be free, so I'm guessing you may have to watch ads or save up some sort of currency to unlock each week's fresh content.

You can expect guest musical appearances from the likes of Dubmood, Zabutom, Hello World, Yponeko, and Le Plancton. And, of course, get ready to deal with a whole lot of mischief from a whole lot of chickens.

If that sounds like a grand time to you, you'll find Old School Musical: Pocket Edition available for download now from both the App Store and Google Play.
