Monster Viator is a creature-collecting turn-based RPG for Android

Monster Viator is the latest RPG to come from Kemco, who certainly get quite a few of them made each year. The game will be available on Android and is available to pre-register now if you like your RPGs to look retro.

They recently released Monochrome Order which had a heavy focus on branching narratives. Each game has one big headline like this and with Monster Viator that's collecting creatures to fight for you in battle.

You play as a young lad called Culter who's lost all of his memories. All he knows is that he's blessed with a mysterious power to communicate with animals. On his journey to uncover all he has forgotten he comes across a young shepherd named Aira who similarly has the power to talk these monsters, but with the use of a harp instead.

Together they'll be able to gather 25 kinds of monsters to fight alongside them in battle. As you'd probably expect if you've followed Kemco's gaming output, these battles will be turn-based fights with Culter battling alongside his newly recruited creatures.

The game promises that you'll develop emotional connections with them on your adventure. Whether that will have an impact on gameplay or just story I'll be interested to see. The developers also mention several game systems to get involved with though there are no more details on what exactly those are at the moment.

Based on the screenshots, your various monsters will also loyally follow you around on the overworld, which is always a nice addition. It might be a good mobile alternative to a Pokemon-style game if Sword & Shield aren't holding your attention or if you simply enjoy these creature-collecting types of game.

Monster Viator is available for pre-register now on Google Play. There is currently no price available for the game but we'll update you when we find out more.
