Ubisoft and Blue Mammoth Games' free-to-play fighter Brawlhalla will be making its way onto iOS and Android in 2020. You can sign up for a chance to be in the beta too if you can't wait until that currently non-specific 2020 date.

There aren't too many details on the mobile version of the game at the moment. Crucially though, we do know that it will have cross-play support, meaning that you should have no trouble finding a game as you'll have every platform available to search for a worthy opponent.

The game originally launched in 2017 before coming to Switch in November last year. It's proven to be a popular fighting game since its initial release, even hosting its own World Championships every year.

If you're unfamiliar, Brawhalla draws a lot of inspiration from Smash Bros, with the aim in most of its game modes being to knock your opponent off the stage. So if you've ever been hoping for Smash on mobile, this could be a good alternative until Nintendo make their move. It's also had a few cameos over the years with Rayman joining the game and more recently a bunch of WWE stars joining the roster too.

Sign-ups for the beta are currently available now and gaining access works on a queue-based system. Once you've registered on the official site you'll receive a queue number and a referral link. If you can convince people to also sing up for the beta using your referral link you'll be bumped up in the queue. So in theory, if you've got enough friends or a big following, you can be playing Brawhalla pretty swiftly.

Brawhalla will be heading to mobile devices in 2020. If you'd like to sign up for a chance to be in the beta, you can do so over on the official website now.
