Mario Kart Tour's Winter tour begins next week
Winter Yoshi, please
Despite some very valid concerns from fans and critics, Nintendo's Mario Kart Tour seems to be off to a solid start – at least in terms of download numbers. The promise of new tours and costumes has kept plenty of people around, and the latest – the Winter tour – is set to arrive next Tuesday, November 19th.
Quite what will be included is still a mystery, but a tweet from earlier today on the game's official Twitter account gives us a sneak peek of a festive track, fit with a Christmas tree and a snowman.
I'm not sure which character would benefit most from a winter-themed makeover. Winter Yoshi, perhaps? At least we won't have to wait too long to find out. What's that outside? Has it started snowing already? That can only mean one thing...the next tour is the Winter tour! Bust out your snow tires and ready your chains for a flurry of fun starting 11/19 at 10pm PT! #MarioKartTour pic.twitter.com/WuVmKPqhHD — Mario Kart Tour (@mariokarttourEN) November 15, 2019
In the meantime, we've got plenty of helpful guides to improve your game, as well as over 16,000 friend codes for you to make use of. Dave reviewed the game at launch, finding it to be a fun mobile adaptation of the beloved kart racing series. He wasn't best pleased with the gacha mechanics or the £4.99-a-month Gold Pass, though.
If you're yet to take it for a spin, you'll find Mario Kart Tour available for download now from both the App Store and Google Play.
