Pewdiepie has a brand new game out right now, Pewdiepie's Pixelings, a fun little RPG brawler that'll see you spend hours collecting monsters, powering them up, and battling against many more monsters.

There are dozens upon dozens of stages to play through, and in each one you will find a battle ahead of you. They start out easy at first, but they will eventually get pretty challenging.

If you want to get the most out of each stage, you will need to get three stars. In order to do that, you will need to ensure that none of your party dies at any point in battle. That isn't the toughest challenge, but it will be later on, and even in the early game you won't get three stars if you're not paying attention.

Here we will give you the essential tips you need to become stronger in battle, and come out on top even when the odds are stacked against you. Just read below to learn all you need to know, bro…

Even party

It's important to get a decent mix of characters in your party that will be helpful in a variety of situations. Essentially, if you just have melee attackers in your party, you will extremely narrow your chances of victory.

Each pixeling has two main attributes, the first will be their attacking style - melee, ranged, or troll - and then you'll have an additional attribute which will dictate what their charged ability will be. Some characters will be able to heal themselves, put up shields to tank hits, or just do extra damage to your enemies.

You will want to ensure you have one powerful defensive unit to take hits for you in a pinch, maybe even two, while the rest of your units can be offensive as long as you still have a mix of ranged and melee units.

1
The frontlines

The type of unit you have, and where you place them on the field, will change how the battle plays out.

You have three slots to place units in battle, and the centre front position will be the unit that all melee enemies will attack. Ranged units will attack those directly across from them, and trolls will attack those with low health.

Putting a unit with high health, and either shields or healing abilities, in the centre spot will be a good way to ensure you last a long time in battle.

2
Swapping out

When your units get low on health, you should swap them around, whether that's switching them out for units on your bench, or just changing positions on the field.

There are many situations where a simple position change can prevent your character from being killed, and likewise, a simple position change can help you focus damage on an enemy to take them down.

Don't be afraid to change the order of your units on the field while battling, it may even be necessary.

3
Timed tactics

Each of your units has a timer before they can use any of their attacks or abilities, and you should work around that timer, when possible.

If you want to swap a unit out, it's best to wait until they've used an attack and their timer resets, and then swap them out. Even try swapping during the attack animation.

Likewise, you should wait to use spells at opportune moments, when possible. Of course, saving a unit's life is more valuable than getting out a single attack. Keep that in mind.
