New story chapters arrive in Pokemon Masters alongside a new Rally event

We're back with a second helping of Pokemon Masters news today following our previous article earlier. This time we're letting you know that there's a bunch of new chapters available in the main story as well as few other bits and pieces, including being able to change the main characters Pokemon to a Torchic.

Announced last month, Chapters 19-21 are available to play now. Completing all of them will earn you a new Sync Pair, Calem & Espurr. Calem is the male protagonist from Pokemon X and Y so it's a change of pace that he hasn't been given one of the starter Pokemon from his respective regions.

I don't mind though, I'm a fan of Espurr so I'm pleased to see it get added. They will be a 5-star Sync Pair. If you decide to add them to your team, Espurr will take on a Tech role, meaning that he comes equipped with moves that can confuse and paralyse. He also has a passive that increases the chances of inflicting confusion, so if it doesn't work the first time it becomes more likely each attempt.

To coincide with the release of these new story chapters, there is a new mission Rally called The Story Continues. This Rally will be available until the 28th November and will reward players with 2000 gems if they complete all of the missions available to them. These can be seen by tapping on your Porygon phone then the events tab.

Finally, you'll now be able to change the main characters Pokemon to a Torchic if having a Pikachu just isn't doing it for you. Once you've completed Chapter 20 you'll earn this new variant of the MC and can swap out Pikachu for Torchic. Torchic takes on a support role and has moves that increase its allies Attack, Special Attack and critical hit-rate.

Pokemon Masters is available now on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
