A Lineage 2: Revolution update brings Professions and Crafting to the popular MMORPG

Professions have made their way into Netmarble's popular MMORPG Lineage 2: Revolution in its most recent update, giving players a new option for item creation. There are also a few in-game events so that you can celebrate the Halloween season with spooky-themed dungeons and bosses.

We'll start with the Professions though. Players will now be able to craft upgrades for their equipment and create items using this new system. There are five different Professions with each offering its own crafting options. They are Alchemy, Smithing, Gemcrafting, Enchanting and Cooking. They will allow players to create various specialised items depending on which professions you decide to invest in.

Before you get down to the crafting though, you're going to need to gather some materials. That's where the newly added Harvest Dungeon will come in handy. Players will be able to mine, gather and fish for various resources here that can be used for creating new items.

In terms of events, players will be able to earn rewards from the skull balloon that will appear in Magnadin. They'll also be able to delve into a new Halloween themed Extraction dungeon called the Horror Extraction Pit, which sounds like a delightful place to visit. Similarly, players will be able to take on the seasonally themed Komabor World Boss known as Horror Kombor. So basically, there's plenty of horrors to encounter.

If you're on the lookout for a new MMORPG and are wondering if Lineage 2: Revolution is for you then check out our review from when it launched a few years ago. We thought it was an excellent MMO back then and they've only continued to add new features since then.

Lineage 2: Revolution is available now through the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
