Feral Interactive's iOS and Android ports of the dictator simulator Tropico will be receiving some additional content for free. The Absolute Power expansion will be heading to the game on 29th October.

The Absolute Power expansion will bring 10 new missions to the game, each of which will have its own island. So if you already own Tropico and you've exhausted all the content it already has to offer you won't have to wait too long before you'll be able to practice your dictating skills once more.

Players can expect to get up to a whole host of dictating goodness with this free update. An expansion for Tropico 3 called Absolute Power was released 2010 and that bought new buildings, edicts, traits, landmarks and a loyalist faction to the game. Despite what the name implies Tropico is a redesigned version of Tropico 3, so it's safe to say this is effectively a port of that expansion.

This follows the fairly recent release of the Android version of the game, which came out at the beginning of September. So Android users haven't had to wait long for additional content whilst iOS users have had to wait a tad longer. However, it's free content so I doubt either camp is going to complain.

If you've not tried out the tablet or mobile port of Tropico yet you can check out our review of the iPad version from last year. We thought it was an excellent port and definitely worth the price of entry. This should come as no surprise as Feral Interactive has developed a stellar reputation for their porting abilities following success with Rome: Total War and Grid Autosport in the past.

Tropico is available now on both the App Store and Google Play. It's a premium game that costs £11.99.
