Adrenaline, Compulsive Entertainment’s fast-paced arcade racer, has finally made its way to iOS after a successful launch on Google Play earlier this year. It blends high-octane racing action with accessible, easy-to-learn controls to great effect.
Adrenaline serves up two distinct modes: Career and Quick Race. Career is the more extensive of the two, offering a series of increasingly challenging tracks, spanning from busy bridges to hazard-filled mountainsides.
These start out simple enough, though later stages introduce harsh corners and random debris for you to rapidly dodge. Thankfully, the controls are responsive enough to keep the level of challenge high while also remaining fair. And if you really want to test your skills, I’d recommend trying to beat the developer’s times on each of the 9 Career tracks.
By completing races and achieving decent times, you’ll gradually earn cash to buy new, faster cars. Your first few vehicles feel heavy and are really quite slow, but before long you’ll be racing the lightning-fast Aversa and other such supercars. This gradual sense of progression is paced well and keeps unlocks feeling rewarding.
