Dr. Mario World’s latest update is set to add new doctors, assistants, and stages. While precise details are currently a little scarce, it looks like we’ll only have to wait until tomorrow for the update to start rolling out.

In order to lay the groundwork for the update, some maintenance will take place at some point today and maybe into tomorrow. The notes were originally posted by Perfectly Nintendo, and here’s the current list of additions:

  • [Maintenance] In order to prepare for the latest update, there will be some maintenance on October 3rd/4th. Check out this page for more details!
  • [Stage Mode] A brand new World has been added to Stage Mode: World 8. It includes 20 new stages (stages 281 to 300). If you clear it, you will get a new Assistant.
  • [Doctors] New Doctors have been added to the roster. Some Assistants have also been added.

To say I wasn’t a big fan of this one would be an understatement. That said, I’ve heard it’s improved considerably since launch, at least from a technical perspective, so I might nip back in to see what this update’s all about.

If you’re yet to test your virus-crushing skills, you’ll find Dr. Mario World available for download now over on both the App Store and Google Play.
