Call of Duty Mobile has now launched in the SEA region
COD now available in the SEA
The Garena-published version of the much-hyped Call of Duty Mobile has now launched in South East Asia a full day ahead of its planned release tomorrow, October 1st. Tencent and Activision’s ambitious twitch shooter is no doubt one of the biggest mobile games of the year, bringing together years of the franchise’s history for what looks to be a top-tier mobile FPS.
At the very least, there’ll certainly be a lot to see and do, with iconic guns, killstreaks, and multiplayer maps from Black Ops and Modern Warfare. What’s more, there’s a 100-player battle royale mode to test your mettle on. Matches here play out across land, sea, and air, with a host of fun vehicles and an open world area made up of stitched-together maps from COD games of yore.
According to kongbakpao, there’s seemingly very little to no difference between the Activision and Garena versions of the game. Garena appears to be handling the SEA launch, including servers, hence the difference in launch dates. Activision’s version is still set to release tomorrow, October 1st.
To get in as early as possible, you could always pre-register for Call of Duty Mobile now over on the App Store or Google Play. In other COD Mobile news, we learned last week that the game targets a smooth 60 fps on Android.
