Tencent reveal new additions to PUBG Mobile Lite for the upcoming season including a new map

Tencent has revealed a plethora of new details for PUBG Mobile Lite to coincide with the start of the new season on October 1st. This will, among other things, includes a new map and game modes.

The new map, called Golden Woods, will be exclusive to Mobile Lite and will be a fairly small battlefield to try and create intense combat moments. Of course, it most likely leads to faster games as well, so if you're into quicker rounds this might be a map you'll enjoy.

There will also be some near gear to test out after dropping in. The PP-19 sub-machine gun, QBZ and QBU DMR rifle have been added to the game. Additionally, the UAZ vehicle from the original version of PUBG has been added, so you'll now be able to drive noisily around the map grabbing everyone's attention as you cruise by.

In terms of new modes, there will also be a new Arcade Mode. This War mode variant will allow players to duke it out using an RPG-7. So if you've ever found yourself playing PUBG and thinking, this needs a lot more explosions, then this additional mode might appeal to you.

Finally, a title system will also be added. This will allow players to unlock combat titles they can show off to their peers once they gain a certain amount of experience and meet various criteria for different achievements. It's a nice addition because it'll give you something else to work on rather than only shooting for Chicken Dinners, though some of the achievements may involve them.

PUBG Mobile Lite is a more lightweight version PUBG Mobile that is designed to run on less powerful devices. It is available now on Google Play. It is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
