UFO on Tape: First Contact, developer Revolutionary Concepts’ next game, is set to launch a little later this year. It will join over 100 other games for what it shaping up to be a very impressive launch line-up for Apple Arcade. And to celebrate the upcoming release, the team’s classic puzzler Gesundheit! is currently available for free over on the App Store.

It originally launched all the way back in 2011, earning overwhelmingly positive reviews and even a handful of awards. Looking at it today, it’s barely aged at all – at least visually. The hand-drawn style and impressive animations hold up remarkably well, and the simple snot-shooting gameplay remains fun.

If you’re yet to give it a try – yes, you heard me right; the game’s all about shooting strings of bogeys around the environment to solve puzzles and hold-off enemies. The burly brutes find your snot irresistible, continuing to hunt you until they’ve had their fill. It’s all about luring the enemies around the level and avoiding them at all costs. Honestly, I reckon it’s still worth a play, and you can’t argue with its current price of £0.00.

UFO on Tape: First Contact is the sequel to 2010’s UFO on Tape, a really interesting pre-AR game about tracking a UFO in the sky with your mobile device using basic motion controls. It was a strange, simple little game that nevertheless felt quite unique at the time – almost like playing through that nightmarish birthday party scene in Shyamalan’s Signs.

Should you want to give Gesundheit! a try, here’s a link to the game’s App Store page, and be sure to keep an eye out for UFO on Tape: First Contact when it launches later this year.
