Mini Life is an upcoming game that developers Krafton describe as a hybrid between an MMO and Social Networking Game. It'll be available on September as a free-to-play title.

If you're not familiar with the genre Social Networking Game then you may recognise a few of the names from with the genre. Club Penguin, Habbo Hotel, Mob Wars and Farmville are all considered to be SNGs. Facebook has a lot of them you'd probably be familiar with.

Mini Life seems to be more in the model of Habbo Hotel and to a lesser extent Club Penguin. It'll function essentially like a big chat room where you can meet people and hang out together. But what is there to do besides have a natter with people you've never met?

Well, Mini Life appears to have a put a huge amount of focus in its customisation claiming to have 20 billion ways to customise an avatar. Of course, when you consider there are 3000 different fashion options, that number seems less crazy. All those different combinations quickly add up.

You'll be able to spend a lot of time decorating. Each player will have their own mansion complete with a garden that you can furnish to your tastes. I would try to make it look as terrible as possible by picking things that don't match or by lining stuff up with walls correctly so it looks a complete mess. I don't know why it just amuses me to do it wrong.

The game will also have a trading system so you can swap your furniture or your threads with other players from around the world. Presumably part of the monetisation will involve buying clothes and plants for your garden so it's good they'll also include a way to trade them in-game.

Mini Life will be out on September 5th on Apple devices. We don't currently have a link to the store page for our region but will update as soon as it's available. Mini Life will be a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
