The newly released Trail Boss comes to us from developer ‘Yeah Us!’, which is a name that’ll be familiar to anyone who’s played the popular Pumped BMX series. It’s an extreme biking game which sees you pulling off stunts and jumps through a series of tightly designed courses.

Based on the trailer, it looks like you’ll be able to pull off some wild mid-air stunts, flowing between moves with seamless animations. It looks fast, stylish and fairly accessible.

There are currently 40 handcrafted levels to tackle, as well as an impressive 360 challenges spanning across 4 varied environments. The game boasts plenty of customisation options for your bike collection, with the idea being that you can make your ride unique to you.

It’s said to be a sort of spiritual successor to the Pumped BMX games, aiming to please veteran fans and new players with its mix of deep gameplay systems and intuitive controls. There’s no doubt that it looks a lot more ambitious than the team’s earlier games, and the early user reviews seem to suggest that it carries the torch well.

I haven’t had a chance to give it a go myself, but I do really like the look of it. The Pumped BMX series appears to be quite beloved, so it’s probably worth looking into this one if you’re a fan of the genre. You’ll find Trail Boss available for download now over on the App Store, with a Google Play launch set for later today. It’s currently priced at £3.99, which thankfully means there are no ads or IAPs to bother you.
