The long-awaited final episode of hit point-and-click adventure game Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise, titled ‘The Final Blow’, has – following an exceedingly lengthy wait – received a solid release date.

After developer Yak & Co tweeted out the little puzzle embedded below, fans were quick to spot the release date of the final episode hidden within. If you’d like to solve the puzzle yourself, consider this your spoiler warning before I go ahead and tell you when it’ll be out, ok?

Ready?... Well, turns out all signs point to Yak & Co bringing its acclaimed episodic series to a close on August 29th. Basically, the puzzle reads guaeninowt, which when read backwards gets you twonineaug or two nine aug. See where I’m going with this?

If you’re yet to delve into the world of Agent A, it’s a point-and-click adventure game that sees you playing as an unnamed agent who’s tasked with hunting down the infamous Ruby La Rogue. It’s a narrative-based title with plenty of tricky puzzles to solve, oddball characters to meet, and wonderful environments to explore.

The final episode was originally due to be released late last year, though the start of development on console and PC ports meant delays. Chapter 5 will launch as a free update for iOS and Android players, while console and PC fans will be able to pick up the full game in one complete package on August 29th.

The first chapter released all the way back in 2015, followed by ‘Ruby’s Trap’ in 2016 and ‘A Narrow Escape’ in 2017. It’s exciting to see the story finally coming to a close for fans who’ve waited patiently for so long. If the quality of the earlier episodes is any indication, I’m sure ‘The Final Blow’ will be worth the wait.
