Dust: An Elysian Tail
Essentially Dust is an action RPG that sees you hacking and slashing your way through a series of levels. There's exploration to be done too, and more than a few moments throughout the game's run time that are going to leave you with your jaw on the floor - seriously, it's that good.While it's a port, this is no slapdash effort. The game doesn't play quite as well on mobile, but the controls are by no means a deal-breaker. Add in some of the best looking cartoon graphics we've ever seen, a massive world to discover, and some of the best 2D fighting we've ever played, and you can see why Dust: An Elysian Tail has received this award.
When we reviewed the game we called it "a fluid, chaotic cartoon, beautifully animated and with more charm in one of its gently flapping capes than you'll find in a handful of the cookie-cutter arcade games on the App Store," and gave it a Silver Award.
