What game is this?
Pokémon Rumble actually has a legacy going back ten years, and Pokémon Rumble Rush is the fifth entry in the series, and the second free to play title.
Pokémon Rumble Rush retains the cute, polygonal Pokémon designs, and fun, yet incredibly simple battle mechanics. At least in Pokémon Rumble Rush, it feels like there are a lot more reasons to keep playing.
This is of course a free to play mobile title, so they've designed the game to take a long time to finish, and that works in the favour of a game this quick and simple. Stages take anywhere from under a minute to two, which is the perfect length if you just want to waste a tiny bit of time, but not get roped into a five minutes multiplayer experience.
You lose nothing from dropping out of a game either, which is nice.
You'll primarily be collecting new Pokémon, and fighting your way through dozens of stages, and dozens of Pokémon.
Pokémon Rumble Rush works because it can played it tiny chunks, yet still gives fans that motivation to catch 'em all, just like in Pokémon Go. Also like Pokémon Go, there's plenty of room for expansion and more content.
As of writing, the game is only available in Australia, but Android users could always find an APK online if they're feeling brave, while iOS users could use an Australian iOS account to get it downloaded.

How to play
Playing Pokémon Rumble Rush is incredibly simple. All you have to do is search for Pokémon on the menu, and rush into battle.
To battle you simply tap on the screen to attack, swipe to dodge, and hold your finger on the screen for a charged attack.
The mechanics are simple, but when going up against multiple stronger Pokémon, your skills with the dodge and attack strategy will be tested.

The lazy way
Well, if you don't want to test your skills, you can actually let levels play themselves. Take your hands off the screen, and your Pokémon will automatically attack and move through the stage.
The thing is though, they will be horribly inefficient. They will be slow, and not attack very quickly. Beings hands-on is both faster and more likely to succeed.
When it comes to some of the harder bosses, being hands-on is essential, unless you have an absurdly good Pokémon match up.

Ore you kidding me
One of the key mechanics in this game is ore. Ore are basically chests which open over time. You can store up to three.
The timers range from a single hour, to ten hours (from what we've seen thus far) and give a variety of rewards to power up Pokémon.
Ore will fill up fast, and regularly get them as rewards from missions. Feel free to use currency to open small ones, but you'll have to regularly throw away ore.
