|

Time, once again, for us to look back into the PG archives and find a game worthy of your attention. That's right, it's another game of the day article. We do one every day, so if you click here and bookmark our game of the day hub you'll always be the first to know when we've made a new selection.

This time round we've picked a port - Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP. It's an impressive game, but we'd love to hear what you think about it in the comments. Does it deserve its game of the day award, or should we have given it to a game that came out on mobile first? Let us know!

Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP

There aren't many games out there that aren't like many games out there, but this is definitely one of them. It's sort of an adventure game, sort of a choose-your-own-path storybook, and sort of a load of other things too - all while never really being any of them. One thing's for sure though, it's really good.

There are so many interesting things going on here that it's difficult to pick just a few to focus on - time plays an important role in the game, so does the orientation of your phone - and that's before we get to the mind-bending puzzles, which manage to be complex and elegant in equal measure.

When we reviewed the game we called it "a unique adventure game with an incredible sense of style," before adding that "Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP captivates in spite of its abstract approach," and giving it a shiny Silver Award.
