Another week has been and gone, and here we all still are, plugging away at the same things we were seven days ago. Not that we mind, because writing about mobile games is amazing and we have the best jobs in the world. Part of those jobs involves making sure you're up to date with all the comings and goings in the world of mobile gaming, which is exactly what this article offers.

This week we've had some massive new releases, we've covered some great (and some not-so great) games in our reviews section, and we've made sure you know exactly what you're getting into with a whole bunch of cheats and tips for the newest mobile gaming experiences. Basically, what we're trying to say is that when it comes to mobile gaming, there's really only one place you should be looking.

So make sure that you follow us on Twitter by clicking here, and that you become our friend on Facebook by clicking here. Social media is the future apparently, so we're trying to get in on the ground floor. Ahem.

If you think we've missed anything out from our round up, then do make sure to let us know in the comments at the bottom of the article. This site is for you, and we want to make sure that we're servicing your mobile gaming needs in the best possible way. The more fun you have, the more fun we have. You can even leave reaction emojis now, which I understand is how some of you communicate.

That just about covers the preamble, so without further ado let's smash on with our round up of all the big gaming news that's happened this week.

The best new releases

It's been a really rather excellent week for new games on the App Store and Google Play Store. We've seen the return of the excellent Super Stickman Golf series in the form of Golf Blitz, which we'll talk about more later. There's also the surprisingly awesome Kingsman: The Secret Service, which has no right to be as good as it is.

And it that's not enough, this week also saw the release of Reality Clash - imagine Pokemon Go meets Doom and you're half way there. You can read more about the game by clicking this link. Oh, and while it might not be out yet, we're all super excited to check out Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap when it lands on iOS and Android real soon.

The best reviews

This week's big review comes in the shape of Golf Blitz. We called it "the most fun you can have with some digital clubs on your mobile phone," before adding that you "should pick it up right this second." Click here to read our Golf Blitz review in its entirety.

Elsewhere, we checked out SpellForce: Heroes and Magic. We were a lot less impressed with that one, calling it "An unfinished, and not particularly entertaining game of trial and a lot of error." Click here to read our full SpellForce: Heroes and Magic review.

And while you're at it, why not check out our review of the Oculus Quest, the new, stand-alone gaming VR headset from Oculus. We reckon it might well be the game changer that VR needed, and if you've got big enough pockets it definitely fits into our remit.

This week we've got you covered if you're just starting out on your Golf Blitz career. Which you obviously will be, since the game has just come out. We've written about making sure you get the perfect swing every time, which you can check out by clicking this link. And we've written about how to level up quickly, which you can read by smashing a click right here.

The best features

This week we pondered about what might make the very best mobile multiplayer games. With Rumble Stars Soccer and Golf Blitz working their way up the charts, it felt like the right time to be asking the question. Click the link and let us know if you think we got it right.

Elsewhere we looked back. Back to the best mobile games that came out in April. And back to the best Switch games that came out in April as well. If that wasn't enough we decided to look forward too, with our round-up of the best new games coming to Switch in May.

The best videos

In the land of video this week it's been all about reviews. The land of video? Is that a real place? Sort of, it's a YouTube channel, and you can subscribe to it by clicking here.

Harry used to be really good at Snake on the Nokia 5110. Apparently though, digital snake wrangling isn't a proper job, so now he writes words about games instead.
