Sometimes it can feel like gaming news is a bit reactive. Well, we're going to be trying to change that over the coming weeks and months. We're going to be telling you more than ever about games that aren't out yet, and making sure that you know exactly when the very best games are coming out.

With that in mind, we've written this rather lovely article about the best games coming to mobile in the month of April. There are some really interesting titles on the way, and we figure you should be able to get excited about them now rather than when they come out. We're extending excitement - you're welcome.

March was a pretty good month for mobile gaming, but it's not going to go down in history as one of the best. April certainly has potential, and we're looking forward to getting our hands on these games, possibly as much as y'all are. That's the thing about people who write about games - they just really love games, otherwise they wouldn't do it.

Obviously there'll be other games sneaking out that we don't know about, so make sure you keep checking back to Pocket Gamer to find out all the important future news that we don't know about yet. And if you've got your own suggestions for games you know are coming out, or if you're a dev who wants to get the news out, do let us know in the comments section at the bottom of the article.

The new game from Luca Redwood, the developer behind 1000000 and You Must Build a Boat. It's five different stories told in wonderfully strange ways, and we don't want to spoil too much about it because it's pretty darn special. It's the sort of game that's going to stick with you a long time after you've played it, and if you ask us that's no bad thing.

Cultist Simulator Mobile

A simulation of the life of a cultist, but on mobile. Of course this one's a good deal more complex than that, and it's proud of that fact. There's pretty much zero hand-holding here. You're left to your own devices to figure out what it is you're supposed to be doing, and how your actions change the world. A game that manages to be deep and simple at the same time, which is pretty awesome.

We've got a soft spot for golfing games here at Pocket Gamer. I for one would never sully good green earth by thwacking balls around on it and being elitist, but when it comes to digital entertainment I can stick my brain into golfing mode for hours on end. Hopefully this one is going to live up to the license it bears, while still managing to keep real-world golfing heathens like me interested.

Rolando: Royal Edition

Rolando was one of the original games on the App Store, and now it's back in a far more polished form. We reviewed the original more than ten years ago now, and we gave it one of our first Platinum Awards. You could say that we've got high hopes for how this one is going to turn out, and hopefully we're not going to end up disappointed.

Kingdom: Two Crowns

A sequel to one of the strangest adventure games you can get on mobile. It's been out for various other places since the end of last year, but we're excited to get our hands on the mobile version. This new version features single player and co-op, as well as a whole bunch of new ideas that didn't make it into the original.

Harry used to be really good at Snake on the Nokia 5110. Apparently though, digital snake wrangling isn't a proper job, so now he writes words about games instead.
