Rocket Royale puts an inventive spin on the battle royale formula

Between PUBG Mobile, Fortnite and their countless clones, battle royale fans are spoilt for choice on mobile, but there’s always room for new challengers in the arena. Step forward, Rocket Royale.

Available now on Google Play and the App Store, the game puts its own twist on the genre by placing a greater emphasis on crafting. The aim is to escape the battlefield by building a rocket from resources that can be harvested from fallen meteors.

The action takes place on an island where virtually everything is destructible. Base building is a key part of Rocket Royale as there’s a lot of position defending. Other players will attempt to hijack your rocket, so you might want to raise a fort to hold its position.

Rocket Royale’s matches are 25-player affairs and you can tackle them solo, in pairs or in a three-player squad. There are no shrinking deadzones or parachutes, but you can use portals to navigate your way around the island quickly.

There’s plenty of content to sink your teeth into. As well as weapons and items to loot, there are bonus avatars, custom rockets and more to unlock as you level up and global leaderboards to climb.

Rocket Royale is free to download on Google Play and the App Store. Developer GameSpire has optimised the game for low-end devices and it demands less that 100MB of storage space.
